Our Pastor's Speech

It’s a great honor to be a pastor at AICT Kizota, and I want to thank God for allowing me to serve at this wonderful congregation. As we work hard to foster spiritual and economic development, we all know that God has used every one of you to be of beneficial to our church. I want to praise and glorify our Almighty God for the miracles and many talents and gifts that He has given all of us. I want to extend my appreciation to each and every one of you for providing your resources through offerings, tithes, vows and contributions for church development. “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10). I am also grateful for the endless basic needs support to our family, may the Almighty God richly bless you all.

I welcome each and every one of you to spend time at our church so that we can all witness the goodness of our Lord. I recognize what God has done to our congregation through believers. As we proceed with church development activities, I ask God to guide us and be with us until we accomplish our future plans. When we continue to implement the church Strategic Plan of 2016 – 2020, we need to work in collaboration and each member’s participation is valuable to accomplish our goals. Our church has three goals. The first goal is to strengthen spiritual ministries through teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and Christian doctrines in order to increase the number of believers at AICT Kizota Local Church to reach 800 members by 2020. The second goal is to strengthen implementation of projects and investments to establish a church that is self-supporting financially at 80 percent by 2020. The third goal is to empower AICT Kizota believers on addressing cross-cutting issues in order to create awareness to the congregation and the community about these concerns at 70 percent by 2020.

All our departmental and committees work plans should be focused on accomplishing these three goals. Prior to accomplishing the first goal of increasing the number of believers by 2020, we need to build a new church to accommodate the expected expansion. Therefore, I would like to encourage each one of you to participate fully in all stages of the church construction project. Each believer should be committed to contribute and find income from different sources so that we will manage to finish the building. The Bible says, “Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it” (Ezra 10:4).
